Article 2 – Applicability 

These general terms and conditions apply to all transactions concluded between Chopps and consumers through the webshop www.chopps.store. The consumer has access to these terms before concluding the agreement on the webshop. This text is electronically available for storage or printing. Upon request, these terms and conditions can be sent by email or post.

 

Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if expressly agreed upon in writing, while other provisions of these terms and conditions remain in full force. By using the website or placing an order, the consumer accepts these General Terms and Conditions along with all rights and obligations stated on the website.

 

Article 3 – The Agreement 

The agreement is formed upon the consumer's payment, confirmed by Chopps via the website or email. Until this confirmation, the consumer reserves the right to dissolve the agreement. Chopps employs technical measures to ensure a secure web environment and data/payment transfer.

 

When a consumer purchases a product/service, Chopps provides the following information digitally:

  • Contact details of the company's establishment for complaints

  • Price inclusive of taxes

  • Applicable delivery costs

  • Delivery method

 

The company can investigate whether the consumer can fulfill payment obligations or if other crucial facts impact a responsible conclusion of the agreement. Based on this inquiry, the company reserves the right to refuse the order or apply special conditions to execution.

 

Article 4 – The Offer 

Offer details, including limited validity or special conditions, are explicitly stated by Chopps. Descriptions of products/services are accurate for consumer assessment. Errors or discrepancies in the offer, immediately noticeable by the consumer, are not binding on Chopps.

Article 5 – The Price 

All prices for products/services include VAT. Additional costs like packaging, shipping, or others are transparently outlined in the offer.

Prices listed for products/services remain unchanged during the transaction between Chopps and the consumer, irrespective of changes in VAT rates or other factors. Special offers are valid within the specified period, as indicated on the related website or platform.

 

Delivery costs are not integrated into the price. Chopps calculates the following shipping fees:

  • The Netherlands: €5.95, free shipping for orders €50+ 

  • Belgium €6.95, free shipping for orders €50+ 

  • Europe and UK €7.95, free shipping for orders €150+ 

  • USA, Canada, € 14,95, free shipping for orders €150+ -

  • For other countries, please contact us

 

*Europe includes: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

 

Certain statutory contributions might be applicable to some products, explicitly stated on the website, not included in the price.

 

Article 6 – Payment 

Unless otherwise agreed, consumer payments are due before goods delivery. Payment methods include iDeal, Apple Pay,, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.

 

Article 7 – Right of Withdrawal 

The consumer has up to fourteen days from receiving the product to dissolve the agreement without providing reasons. To exercise this right, the consumer must notify Chopps via email or post to info@chopps.store.

 

For withdrawal, the product must remain unopened, undamaged, in original packaging with supplied accessories. Upon correct return as per Chopps’ instructions, a refund is processed within 14 days.

 

Article 8 – Costs in Case of Withdrawal 

When withdrawing, maximum return costs are borne by the consumer. Upon withdrawal, Chopps refunds the purchase amount and shipping costs to the consumer within 14 days of receiving the undamaged, originally packaged goods.

If the consumer returns products for reasons other than damage or incorrect delivery, all return costs are at their expense.

 

Article 9 – Delivery, Delivery Term, and Implementation 

Chopps takes utmost care in receiving and executing product orders.

All deliveries operate on a "Delivered At Place (DAP)" basis. If product delivery becomes permanently impossible, Chopps endeavors to offer a replacement or reimburse the amount paid, reaching mutual agreement with the consumer.

The risk of product loss/damage remains with Chopps until delivery to the consumer at the communicated address. Orders aim for dispatch within 10 days. Orders placed before 12:00 PM on a working day are shipped the same day; otherwise, they ship the next business day.

The specified shipping times are indicative; after shipment, consumers receive a track & trace code via email. Any delays or partial executions will be promptly communicated. The maximum delivery period is 30 days unless agreed otherwise. If unfeasible, the consumer will be informed in time, and the option to dissolve the agreement or agree on a new delivery time is available. Refunds for dissolved agreements are processed within 30 days.

 

Article 10 – Warranty 

The company's guarantee scheme does not limit or override consumer rights and claims for product shortcomings based on law or agreement.

 

Article 11 – Conformity 

Chopps guarantees that products/services comply with the agreement, offer specifications, usability/reliability standards, and existing legal provisions at the agreement date.

 

Article 12 – Complaints Procedure 

Consumers can submit detailed complaints about agreement implementation within fourteen days of product receipt to Chopps. Complaints are handled within 14 days, or consumers receive an acknowledgment with an estimated response time.

 

Article 13 – Additional or Different Provisions 

Any additional provisions must not disadvantage the consumer and must be accessible and storable in writing.

 

Article 14 - Intellectual Property 

Consumers acknowledge Chopps' intellectual property rights concerning product-related information, communications, or expressions on the site. Usage or modification of this intellectual property requires explicit written permission.

 

Article 15 – Changes to Terms and Conditions 

Chopps reserves the right to modify or supplement these terms. Consumers will be informed of such changes.

 

Article 16 – Applicable Law 

Agreements governed by Dutch law require disputes to be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless another court is expressly designated by law.

Article 17 – Instruction for Chopps Products

Chopps values a proper and safe user experience with our products. Enclosed in the packaging of our chopps, you will find an instruction card with crucial information about the correct usage of the product. It is essential to carefully read and follow these instructions, as not all our chopps share the same properties.

​

Heat Resistance: Not all chopps are heat resistant. Please refer to the instruction card to determine if your chopp is suitable for styling with high temperatures. The use of chopps with heat is at your own risk.

​​

Color Treatment and Oxidation: Different chopps react differently to hair dye, bleach, and oxidation processes. Consult the instructions on the card to determine if your chopp is suitable for color treatments and to prevent unintended effects.

​​

General Warning: The appearance of the chopp may change due to the use of certain products. Any allergic reactions are not within our responsibility. Read the instruction card for information on potential impact factors on your chopp.
